Beans Week at the LPGA’s CME Tour Championship

Meeting Her Heroes

Beans’ first day at the CME Tour Championship was one to remember! She and her family checked in at the beautiful Ritz Carlton resort for the beginning of their luxury stay in Naples. With just a short walk downstairs on Wednesday evening and they were greeted by LPGA players, sponsors, and VIPs during the year-end Kia Performance Awards.

It didn’t take long for Beans to run into her idol, Lydia Ko, who received the Kia Drive to the Top Performance Award. To accompany the car keys Lydia earned to a 2016 Kia Sorento, Beans presented Lydia with a pair of beautiful handmade earrings.

A Day with Sandra Gal

LPGA Player Sandra Gal has become one of LPGA*USGA Girls Golf’s biggest supporters, going above and beyond to connect with young girls and give them a taste of the professional golfers life. Beans was one of just a handful of lucky girls selected to participate in the new “Walk with Sandra” program. She went inside the ropes to join Sandra for her first round of competition.

Not only was she able to keep up with Sandra’s group (with a little help from dad ), but she followed Sandra’s group for ALL 18 holes. On a golf course designed for LPGA professionals, that walk totaled more than 3.64 miles, not including the distance between holes!
Beans sported a special outfit for her day with Sandra (which coincidentally coordinated with Sandra’s outfit perfectly). Her skort was hand knit by members of the Seminole Indian tribe and mailed to her as a special gift for winning the #LittleGirlsBIGDreams contest. Beans is a proud Native American junior golfer with strong roots with the Seminole tribe.

Glitter, Glamour, and Girls Golf!

Beans had the chance to do what so many little girls dream about—get dolled up, walk a red carpet, and meet her favorite celebrities during the LPGA’s Rolex Awards Gala! She joined new BFF Sandra Gal and interviewed players and VIP guests during the LPGA’s live stream of the event.

Here’s a closer look at Beans’ glamorous look for the night:

Beans made sure to ask LPGA fan favorite Paula Creamer the question on so many people’s minds that night:
But what’s a trip down the red carpet without getting interviewed by the media yourself? Our pint-sized celebrity was interviewed by the LPGA’s Amy Rogers who caught up with our winner and asked how she got her unique nickname:

ESPN’s Michal Collins got in on the fun too. He loved our Tell Us About Yourself(ie) Q&A with Beans and asked her about her reported “dream foursome.” The jury is still out on how Lydia Ko feels about being Snoopy’s back-up:

Reporting Live…It’s Beans!

The LPGA Communications team gave Beans a behind-the-scenes look at the LPGA media center which was buzzing after LPGA Commissioner Mike Whan’s press conference announcing a new Wisconsin tournament being added to the 2016 calendar. Beans received a tour of the busy media center, which is command central for members of the press, and where LPGA player post-round interviews and press conferences are hosted.

LPGA’s social media maven, Tina Barnes-Budd, then gave Beans the lowdown on how news and player features are shared with LPGA fans on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Google+. Beans even had the chance to help choose photos to post on the LPGA’s social accounts.

The Golf Channel’s then took Beans inside their fast-paced production van where she saw how the TV magic really happens.

After her tour Beans was ready to put on her journalist hat and conduct interviews of her own! She turned the table on ESPN’s Michael Collins putting him in front of the microphone for an interview.

She even had the chance to interview World No. 1 Lydia Ko! Her question to her idol, “What advice would you give to girls like me who play golf?” You’ll love Lydia’s answer:

Safaris and Hoverboards

After a busy first few days, the Factor family decided to kick back and take a day to explore the city of Naples. Beans and her brother, Elijah, went on a wild excursion, visiting Billie’s Swamp Safari to see Florida’s famous alligators up close…and BOY did they get close!

They even took a cruise on hoverboards during a visit to the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

Getting the VIP Treatment

Beans’ final day at the CME Tour Championship was a relaxed day of enjoying golf. Her family received VIP passes and access to the tournament’s party deck where they enjoyed yummy snacks, cool shade, and perfect views of the final round action. As the day came to a close, she said one last goodbye to her new friend, Sandra Gal.

It’s clear that Beans’s trip was a once in a lifetime experience for this future little star. What has Beans been up to since her return to her Oklahoma home? Well, according to her mom, she’s been more focused on improving her game than ever. She’s even more determined to make it back to the CME Tour Championship, but this time as a player. She’s now practicing while wearing headphones, because “that’s what the pros do.”

Keep an eye out for Beans Factor! This certainly won’t be the last time you’ll see her inside the ropes at an LPGA event!
